CAMBODIA - SIEMREAP ARRIVAL

Arrival at Siemreap International Airport, collect your luggage process through custom. Your private tour guide and driver from Asia Dream Tour will be waiting for you outside the baggage claim/ custom area to transfer you in a private vehicle to the hotel in downtown.

While every effort is made to have your room available upon arrival, check in time is at 02:00pm; your room may or may not be ready before this time. On the way to the hotel your tour guide will provide additional details regarding your stay, and you will be able to ask any questions you may have. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Siem Reap

SIEMREAP - ANGKOR THOM COMPLEX (Breakfast/Lunch)

In the morning after having breakfast then we will exploration of the temples. Enter this last capital of the Khmer empire through the Southern Gate where giant carvings of gods and demons flank each side of the entrance. Inside this great city, explore the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, Elephant Terrace and Terrace of Leper King. Feel the serenity that exudes from the stone face carvings of the Bayon Temple and Ta Phrom Temple.

In the afternoon we are enter Angkor Wat and to view its amazing architecture and history. Angkor Wat possesses some of the longest and most intricate stone carving. This complex is four times the size of the Vatican City making it the largest religious site in the world. Spend the morning exploring through the many passages, levels, and chambers that once housed many treasures of the ancient world. Sunset at Phnom Bakheng or Pre Rup paints the temple in an orange hue.

SIEMREAP - BOATTRIP TO TONLE SAP LAKE (Breakfast/Lunch)

This afternoon, moving in tune with the rhythm of the great annual flood of Tonle Sap, we take a boat ride to the village of Kompong Phhluk on stilts. Explore this great ecosystem by way of canoeing and hear the calls of the macaque monkeys while observing the forest beneath the lake’s surface. We will see the Buddhist temple is standing on the island with some beautiful Buddhist life painting on the celling.

SIEMREAP - FLIGHT TO LUANG PRABANG (LAOS) (Breakfast)

This morning, you are free at your own leisure to relax at the hotel.

In the afternoon, you will free your leisure till transfer to airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang. Your expert guide will meet you at Luang Prabang International Airport while your private transportation brings you directly to your chosen hotel.

LUANG PRABANG - MORNING ALMS GIVING - KUANG SI WATERFALL (Breakfast/Lunch)

AM: Early Morning Devotions
(~05.30 – 07:00)
Rise early to witness one of the most magical and timeless scenes of Southeast Asia: hundreds of monks processing through the streets of Luang Prabang accepting offerings of food from the local residents and businesses. Rising early also gives the chance to wander through the fresh market on the way back to the hotel for breakfast.

(~08:30 – 11:30)
Return to the UNESCO protected city centre to appreciate its unspoiled Laotian-colonial fusion architecture, taking in notable Buddhist temples: Wat Xiengthong, with its traditional roofs sweeping low to the ground, the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun, Wat Sene, the city’s oldest temple, and the shrines of Wat Aham and Wat Mai. Finish at the Royal Palace Museum.

PM: Khouangsi Falls
(~14:00 – 17:30)
After lunch drive to the beautiful waterfalls of Tat Khouangsi. Below the 90m drop of the main cascade are a series of pools, connected by smaller falls and cascades. At low water levels the water is an unbelievable turquoise, and swimming in the lower pools is a great way to cool off in the afternoon.

On the walk through the forest to the falls, you will also pass the Free the Bears project – home to a group of rescued Asiatic Black (Moon) Bears and one Malayan Sun Bear. In the early afternoon they are often searching for food hidden in their enriched environment enclosures. Or they may just be sleeping! The route home gives the opportunity to stop at the villages of some of the (over 100) different Lao ethnic groups at Ban Ou, Ban Ouay and Ban Thapene.

LUANG PRABANG - PAK OU CAVE - MOUNT PHOUSI (Breakfast/Lunch)

AM: Meander the Mekong
(~08.30 – 13:00)
After a leisurely breakfast at your hotel, cruise away from the city with a boat trip on the mighty Mekong. Meander up the Mekong to the junction with the Nam Ou river, and the site of the Pak Ou caves. Explore these shrines carved into the cliff face before returning by road at Ban Xanhg Hai village. Along the way, visit the typical Lao villages at Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek, well known for its hand-made Jute Sar paper.

PM: Mount Phousi
(~15:00 – 17:30/18:00 ‘if visit night market’)
Returning in the late afternoon, you may opt to finish the day by climbing the over 300 steps to the top of Mount Phousi with its gilded stupa, to be rewarded by a dazzling sunset from atop this iconic hill in the center of the city. Visit the night market at its base after your descent.

Overnight in Luang Prabang

LUANG PRABANG - FLIGHT TO VIENTIANE (Breakfast)

This morning, our driver will pick you up at your hotel and transfer you to the airport for a short flight to Vientiane.

On arrival, getting picked up by our tour guide in Vientiane, you will transfer to your hotel. Check in and relax at your own leisure.

VIENTIANE DISCOVERY (Breakfast/Lunch)

This morning we visit the oldest landmark in Vientiane, Wat Sisaket, which escaped looting by invading Siamese in the 19th century. We also visit the former royal temple of Wat Phra Keo, original home to the emerald buddha now housed in Bangkok. Continue on to the national icon That Luang stupa and Laos’ very own Arc de Triomphe the Patuxai monument, offering views over the city.

After lunch, we visit the slightly surreal park of Xieng Khuan. Built by a monk through the 1960s until the revolution in 1975, this is a landscape of Hindu and Buddhist sculptures, and perfect for informal exploration by adults and children alike.

Seasonal information:

Designed for all year round, however, this tour still has its favorite traveling time. Traveling during late September to early May, gets you to less-touched places where you see more landscape than tourist crowds. Travelling for great value and experiences, we would suggest late September to October and February.

Cambodia visa

The easiest way to get visa for Cambodia is do it on arrival. Most nationalities are offered Visa-on-Arrival at international airports of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. Fare is USD 30-35 for all nationalities, for a maximum stay of 30 days and extensions are possible.

Laos visa

It is very easy to obtain a visa at the airport of Luang Prabang, cost ranges from USD20 to USD50 per person depended on nationality.

Meals

Daily breakfast at hotels and a lunch for days with sightseeing are included, so are some dinners as mentioned in the itinerary. For meals that are not included, your tour guides will be happy to offer suggestions. If you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know when making your inquiry. We will do our best to accommodation and we appreciate your understanding at some places that are not within our control.

Transportation

You will have a private car in each destination; our cars are within 5 years of usage and your private drivers will be polite and drive with strong regard for safety. All of vehicles are in good maintenance and with A/C.
