Located in Ninh Binh province 100 km southeast of Hanoi, Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are two of the most picturesque spots in all of the north. For 41 years, from 968 to 1009 CE, Hoa Lu was the ancient capital of Vietnam. Nearby Tam Coc is often referred to as “Ha Long among the rice paddies.” Visitors are conveyed by rowboat along the peaceful Tam Coc stream past green fields and the feet of mountains into the mouths of caves, where they encounter new surprises, like stalactites and stalagmites that shimmer like gemstones just inches from the water.
Pick you up at 8.00 am at hotel in Hanoi, then depart for NinhBinh city towards to the South of Hanoi, it takes about 2,5 hours to get there (130 km). Upon arrive Tam Coc grottoes, go ahead to take the Tam Coc boat trip for avoid busy hour, enjoy more quiet in Tam Coc. We will enjoy the spectacular scenery while gliding along the river among rice paddies and ranges of limestone mountains. Tam Coc are three limestone caves stretching along Ngo Dong river. The boat trip is a nice journey along the river with peaceful scenery of limestone mountains, rice paddy and the site of some temples along the way from Hang Ca (first cave) to Hang Hai (second cave) and Hang Ba (third cave). Have lunch at local restaurant.
After lunch, visit Hoa Lu – The Ancient Capital and the remaining two temples of Dinh King & Le King. This visit offers a chance to know more about part of feudal dynasties in Vietnamese history, as well as the old feudal architecture of Vietnam Temples.
Returning to your hotel after the visit.
